Client: Boxfresh Services: Event Photography We were commissioned by Boxfresh and Tuesday Club to photograph their event “It’s a Sheffield Thing!” at Fusion and Foundry, Sheffield Student’s Union. I’m so proud of how we represented the brand as a close knit, passionate, hardworking team! Thanks again and have great weekends.”   This was event number 4 of 25 to celebrate Boxfresh’s 25th birthday. “It’s a Sheffield Thing” is also part 1 of a series of 3 localised events to celebrate regional music scenes. Part 2 and 3 will be “It’s a Manchester Thing” and “it’s a London Thing”. Boxfresh specifically asked the photos to suit their brand, which is heavily influenced by the urban creative personality alive at the heart of London – the music, art, clubs, styles and street aesthetic. It values straight talking, creative, optimism and energy. Born 25 years ago, Boxfresh is a brand with humble market stall beginnings and strong London roots, Boxfresh has been an original bastion of British Street wear since 1989. This brand nature and character is a core aspect of driving the appeal for an audience seeking clothing brands that behave genuinely, have a clear point of view and stand apart. The team asked for 30 – 40 reportage photographs, capture the ambiance of the brand and the event. They need lively, atmospheric shots showcasing the energy of the crowd. One special requirement is to avoid “facing the camera” style shots, which is exactly what we specialise in. They also asked to capture the energy of the artists, including their interaction with the crowd and the Boxfresh product they are wearing. Just a little funny story here: they tended to avoid other brands showing in the pictures. However, there were so many amazing shots of people dancing, shouting, raving… with other brands’ logos on their tops (even Shy FX had a massive BFA on his shoulder!) So we had to edit out every single logo on their clothes and hats with Photoshop so they could be uploaded to the official Boxfresh site. In the end, Boxfresh marketing team was very pleased with the outcome. They had plenty of choice as we submitted more than 60 pictures to them, and 0ver 200 photos uploaded to Tuesday Club’s Facebook page. “We came, we conquered. Sheffield, thanks for having us. Client: Children’s Day UK Services: Branding | Web Design Sheffield | Logo Design | Event Photogrpahy We were offered the chance as a Sheffield web design and PR agency to work with Sheffield-based social enterprise Youth Can Achieve to celebrate the first Children’s Day in the UK on 20th Nov. We crafted the website, design the brand and took some photos capture their first conference event. Thank you so much for your assistance with Children’s Day. The website is excellent!”   The project was started by Nikki Sharpe, the founder of Youth Can Achieve, an organisation set up to help vulnerable young people. During the research, Nikki found out that over 70 countries across the world including Brazil, China, Australia, Malaysia, Canada, Czech Republic and Thailand celebrate National Children’s Day on the 20th November every year. However, the United Kingdom refuses to recognise the day. There are 3.5 million children living in poverty in U.K today. That’s 27% of children. Youth Can Achieve believe a Nationally celebrated Children’s Day would make a real difference to the disadvantaged youth across the U.K while having a hugely positive effect on child poverty. The aim was clear – to let the country know about the campaign, get as many votes for the petition as we can and maximise the publicity. As for the style, Nikki gave us complete freedom on the branding and web design. Of course she was delighted with the outcome in the end. We developed an identity with a joyful and welcoming tone by contrasting illustrations and typography with a bold use of colour.  In order to create a brand for the project, we started everything from scratch, including designing the logo, coding the website, writing and sending out press releases, managing PR and social media pages and also taking photos at the conference. We picked red and yellow for the logo. Like McDonald’s colour scheme, it gives the audience a very energetic and happy feeling. Then we added green, purple and blue to the website, making the section clean and informative. Instead of crafting a multiple pages website, we kept everything simple and all information very easy to view on one page. In the end, Children’s Day UK had some high-profile backers such as NSPCC, UNICEF and Sheffield City Council. It showed up in both the print and online version of The Star and also attracted over 800 Twitter followers in less than two weeks. Below is a selection of the work created for the project. Client: Ahora Services: Music Photography We were hired by Ahora to get a wide range of photos for their debut event O2 Academy Sheffield to build some content for their new brand. Some awesome photos by the very talented photographer.”   Ahora is a new bespoke monthly club night using nationally recognised venues to voice the sound of AHORA – NOW. It is a safe and friendly environment for individuals to come to together musically and express themselves, forming a united party of dance music lovers. We photographed their great debut event with French house pair Amine Edge & DANCE on Friday 26th September, the next event on November 22nd with Route 94 and Catz & Dogz is much anticipated. Then comes the Friday 12th December event when chart topping house sensation Duke Dumont comes to town with frequent collaborator Jax Jones and Blasé Boys Club’s Kiwi. So a little more information on the project we created for Ahora… The guys required us to work all the way through the entire event, started from 10 pm to 4 am, in order to capture all the good moments happening at the night and every single performer. This is not usually the case when we’re doing music photography, but we were still happy to make the exception for our clients. We divided the whole night of photography into 4 parts – the DJs, group shots with Ahora promotion board, group shots of crowd and candid dance photos. We tried to get a wide range of pictures so the Ahora marketing team would have plenty of options to choose from for their promotion material. Below is a selection of the work created for the project. If you want to find out more about our music photography services please check out pages (Photography) and get in touch via our contact...

Client: One Wedding Services: Business cards print | Branding | Web Design | PR We have been working with One Wedding as a Sheffield marketing agency to help produce innovative wedding photos and videos since they first started the business over 3 years ago. We became their PR and social media manager in the second year and got involved in their brand makeover.   Branding   We always believe that branding is the primary element for a business, especially for business in a creative industry. As for One Wedding, their friendly tone and customisable service are what interest their clients the most. Oh and their photos and video of course.    Web Design Sheffield   Social Media Campaign We ran a competition to give away a wedding video to a lucky couple. All the couple had to do was explain how important their wedding was in under 500 words. After the campaign, adverts and press release were published in local mainstream media, including a full right-hand page on Exposed Magazine, print and online version of The Star, a strong audience (all clambering to get their hands on a free video) was built and future network. A network full of potential customers once the competition had cease. This as a result significantly increased the reputation of One Wedding and generated hundreds of leads to help the business the grow and develop.     Online campaign material     Facebook album cover   Below is the press release we put together for them: One Wedding, the Sheffield-based wedding company is giving away a fully edited wedding video. FOR FREE!  The competition started on the 2nd November and will run until Friday the 26th November. One lucky couple will be in with the chance of winning the company’s flagship product: a short film with all the best bits from their big day.  Three young graduates founded the wedding photography and video company in May 2012 and they are quickly filling their calendar, with bookings as far off as 2015. The team follows an American trend of cinematic wedding video, and aims to create a completely different style of production compared with most UK wedding companies. Their videos have been viewed thousands of times across various online platforms and praised for the emotion they portray.  Tom Pumford, 23, Creative Director at One Wedding said, “we really want to create a different kind of wedding video, a more exciting and engaging production that can develop a strong emotional connection with both the couple and anybody else who watches it.”  “We follow the cinematic style of American wedding videos, and are hoping that by giving away a...
